Online users who need dedicated servers for testing and developing are invited to use our private Windows and Linux clusters. Special software can be installed, administrative priviledges can be given were needed. PVSS is preinstalled. The machines are installed in (almost) the same way as the centrally maintained CERNTS and LXPLUS services. Send a mail to lhcb-online-administrators AT cern DOT ch to get an account.
These servers are for testing and development. They have access to the test-bed in Bat 157. They have NO and will never have direct access to any online machines in Point 8!
Connect to lbonts.cern.ch using remote desktop. Currently there are 3 servers in this cluster. They run Windows 2003 server
Connect to lbonplus.cern.ch using ssh. Currently there are 3 servers in this cluster. They run (or are being moved to) SLC4 in 64-bit with 32-bit compatibility libraries (like lxplus).
