In order to ensure that lhcbfw-x.x is up to date with latest versions and
releases of each component, component owners have to upgrade lhcbfw-x.x after releasing new version of
their own component. Framework components should not include any part of any
other component. To make a new LHCb framework do the following :
To update lhcbfw-x.x with a new release of your component, first download
the LHCb framework component and rename it as lhcbfw-x.x+1.
-
Copy the directories of your component over the directories in lhcbfw-x.x+1.
Remove obsolete files of your component.
-
Test the new framework by creating a new PVSS project.
-
Make a new zip file lhcbfw-x.x+1.zip.
-
When all is ok, send an email to
us
with the new version of updated lhcbfw-x.x+1 plus a few lines of text describing
what's new in your component.
If your component has significantly different structure from previous release
or you need help with the above please contact
us.
