Components

We are planning to test three main components of the system:

  1. The Event Building Switch
  2. The Subfarm Controller
  3. The Subfarm

Controls

We are not only interested in the performance of these components in terms of network throughput and CPU yield, but we also want to test our integrated approach to controlling the whole DAQ chain and its associated "slow-control" aspects (rack temperatures, CPU fan speeds, etc..) with the ECS tools.

Installation and Farm configuration

The Farm installation Guidelines can be found here (Word, PDF). Please update this document in case it is required and inform the online group when a new version is available.

Location & Team

The test-bed is located in 157-R-008.The team consists currently of Artur Barczyk, Niko Neufeld.
